Upper Round 2

MESA, Ariz.-Matt Chavez drove in three runs and the No. 2 Cal Baptist Lancers got past No. 3 Utah Tech 10-7 Thursday in Upper Round 2 play at the WAC baseball tournament at Hohokam Stadium. Cameron Tepe netted a strikeout in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Lancers. Ty Johnsen drove in two runs in the loss for the Trailblazers. Utah Tech later competed against No. 5 Abilene Christian Thursday evening in Lower Round 2 at Hohokam Stadium.

Lower Round 2

MESA, Ariz.-Kace Naone and Petey Soto Jr. homered and the No. 3 Utah Tech Trailblazers got past No. 5 Abilene Christian 6-5 in an elimination game Thursday at Hohokam Stadium in the WAC baseball tournament. Brock Roundy netted three strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Trailblazers. JT Thompson drove in two runs in the loss for the Wildcats.
