Pacific Coast League

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Trey Mancini belted a grand slam and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Tacoma 8-5 Thursday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square. Brett Kerry posted six strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Colin Davis homered in the loss for the Rainiers. Following Thursday’s results, the Bees, winners of six of their last nine, improved to 22-25 while Tacoma fell to 23-25. The squads return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square as the Bees seek to secure at least a series split.

Pioneer League

BOISE, Idaho-Brandon Nigh homered and the Boise Hawks soared past Ogden 7-4 Thursday at Memorial Stadium in Pioneer League play. Cameron Dayton netted five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Hawks. Cole Jordan homered in the loss for the Raptors. Following Thursday’s results, the Hawks improved to 2-1 while the Raptors fell to 1-2. The squads return to action Friday at 7:05 pm for the fourth game in the series.
