SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Brock Rodden belted a grand slam and Brennen Davis also went yard as the Tacoma Rainiers pounded Salt Lake 13-1 Wednesday in the second game of this series at The Ballpark at America First Square. Casey Lawrence posted five strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers. Donovan Walton drove in a run in the loss for the Bees. Following Wednesday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 23-24 on the season and the Bees fell to 21-25. The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square for the third game in the series.
Pioneer League
BOISE, Idaho-Cole Jordan, Hank Dodson and Efrain Manzo each homered and the Ogden Raptors dismantled Boise 15-6 Wednesday to win their first game of the young season at Memorial Stadium in Pioneer League play. Nico Saltaformaggio recorded seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Brandon Nigh drove in two runs in the loss for the Hawks. Following Wednesday’s reults, both the Raptors and Hawks are 1-1. The squads return to action Thursday night at 7:05 pm for the third game in the series at Memorial Stadium.
