Snow College Soccer Camp For Wasatch Girls Next Week

EPHRAIM, Utah-Next week, Wasatch High School girls’ soccer team will participate at team camp at Snow College with Wasps head coach Dawain M. Wheatley serving as one of the directors.

The camp will run from June 18-22 and allow for a minimum of 7 games as well as team practice, individual instruction, team bonding and coaching development opportunities.

Other directors include Snow head men’s/women’s soccer coach Nuno Gourgel and former Desert Hills, Pine View and Hillcrest High School soccer coach Mark Cottle.

Wasps players will be divided into teams consisting of 12-14 players so that everyone can receive sufficient playing time.

Dormitory housing will be provided at the Snow College Park Place Apartments and will be assigned by campus housing. No bedding will be furnished so all players should bring a pillow, towel, bedding and a wash cloth.

All participants should bring their own soccer ball, shin guards and a water bottle. The coaches will provide reversible pennies and any equipment needed while coaching the team.

There will be a certified athletic trainer on hand throughout each day of the camp and also on call 24-7.

Wasatch High School will provide its own training supplies and ice will be available at each venue where games are to be played.

The skill instruction will be furnished by experienced licensed coaches and players may also attend the annual college recruiting seminar.

On the Snow College football field, “smart-sided” skill competitions will occur and this is a chance for the all-star players to beat the coaches.
