HEBER CITY, Utah-The Wasatch girls’ basketball team is conducting its annual camp June 4-7 for future Lady Wasps.
This event occurs at the Wasatch High Basketball Gym, “the Nest,” and is open to girls in 1st-11th grades.
Every day of the camp, the 1st-7th grade girls’ session runs from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and costs $60 for all three days.
For girls in 8th-11th grade, sessions run from 1:00-4:00 pm and cost $120 for all three days.
All camp participants will receive a T-shirt and camp basketball.
During this camp, Wasatch head girls’ basketball coach Norm Hayter and his assistants will have participants work on footwork, ball-side and help-side defense, defensive philosophy, shooting instructions, stance and close outs, live ball-moves and layups, setting and using screens and passing and receiving.
Additionally, Hayter and his staff will set up game competition for girls to enhance their skills in a real-time situation as one would encounter during a real game.
