SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Because of inclement weather Thursday, the Salt Lake Bees and Sacramento River Cats played a doublheader Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Game 1
Niko Kavadas drove in two runs and the Salt Lake Bees outlasted the Sacramento River Cats 5-4 Saturday, securing at least a series split. Nick Sandlin posted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Nate Furman drove in two runs in the loss for the River Cats.
Game 2
Buddy Kennedy drove in two runs and the Sacramento River Cats downed Salt Lake 7-1 in the second game of day-night doubleheader Saturday. Wilkin Ramos posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento. Chris Taylor had an RBI in the loss for the Bees.
Sunday, the Bees can either clinch the series win or the River Cats can secure a split. Opening pitch is slated for 2:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
