SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Thomas Gavello homered and the Sacramento River Cats doubled up Salt Lake 10-5 Wednesday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play. Marques Johnson posted two strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento. Vaughn Grissom drove in two runs in the loss for the Bees.
There was a 17-minute rain delay in the bottom of the 9th Inning because of heavy rain in the Salt Lake Valley this evening.
Following Wednesday’s results, the River Cats improved to 3-2 and the Bees slumped to 1-4. The River Cats and Bees return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square for the third game of the series.
