LOGAN, Utah-Tuesday, Utah State men’s basketball, following a Mountain West regular season championship, received tremendous recognition from the conference.
The Aggies’ impact is as follows:
Head Coach of the Year: Aggies head coach Jerrod Calhoun. Calhoun led the Aggies to a 25-6 record and a 15-5 record in conference play.
Player of the Year: Junior guard Mason Falslev. Falslev averaged 15.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for Utah State.
Sixth Man of the Year: Junior forward Karson Templin. Templin averaged 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Aggies.
Honorable Mention: senior guard M.J. Collins (a team-best 17.6 points per game). Graduate guard Drake Allen (7.5 points, 4.7 assists per game).
As the No. 1 seed in the Mountain West Conference Tournament, the Aggies wil play Thursday at 1:00 pm MDT against the winner of No. 8 UNLV/No. 9 Wyoming.
