PROVO, Utah-Tuesday, BYU men’s basketball senior guard Richie Saunders and Utah State junior guard Mason Falsev were named to the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award Watch List.
The proficient Saunders, a native of Riverton, Utah and a Wasatch Academy standout before coming to BYU, shot 51.8 percent from the field for the Cougars last season and averaged 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Falslev, a native of Smithfield, Utah and a former Sky View High School star, averaged 15 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season for the Aggies.
