HEBER CITY, Utah-Logan Duncan ran for a 16-yard touchdown and Austin Wilde made field goals of 15 and 33 yards as the Wasatch Wasps bested Maple Mountain 13-7 Thursday in Region 7 football play. Cole Allred threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Kyren Jones in defeat for the Golden Eagles.

HEBER CITY, Utah-Ellie Karl, Kennedi Hunt and Kate Miller each scored and the No. 12 Wasatch Wasps blanked No. 21 Woods Cross 3-0 Thursday in the first round of the 5A girls state soccer playoffs. The Wasps next visit No. 5 Timpview Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
PLEASANT GROVE, Utah-Brynlee Sommer scored and the No. 18 Alta Hawks upset No. 15 Pleasant Grove 1 (3)-1 (2) on penalty kicks in extra time in the first round of the 5A girls state soccer playoffs Thursday. Halle Stucki scored in defeat for the Vikings. Alta next visits No. 2 Olympus in the second round of the state playoffs Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Mateya Hall scored twice and the No. 9 Maple Mountain Golden Eagles blanked No. 24 Northridge 3-0 Thursday in the first round of the 5A girls state soccer playoffs. Anya Gulley recorded the shutout in the net in victory for Maple Mountain. The Golden Eagles next visit No. 8 Bountiful Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

Mia Page and Emma Nelson combined on the shutout in the net for the Bees. The Bees next visit No. 6 Hillcrest in the second round of the state playoffs Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
MAGNA, Utah-Iris Riperton scored and the No. 17 West Panthers blanked No. 16 Cyprus 1-0 in the first round of the 5A girls state soccer playoffs Thursday. The Panthers next visit No. 1 Kearns Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
