IRVING, Texas-Wednesday, Utah senior redshirt offensive lineman Jaren Kump and Utah State graduate student tight end Broc Lane were named as a 2025 William V. Campbell trophy semifinalists per a statement from The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
This trophy is annually presented to the top premier student-athlete in college football.
Kump and Lane are among 177 semifinalists throughout the country.
The NFF will announce 12-16 finalists October 22 before the award presentation at the 67th annual NFF Awards Dinner December 9.
Candidates must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of playing eligbility, have at least a 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), have outstanding football ability as a first-team player or significant contributor and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
Lane has 2 receptions for 50 yards and a score on the season thus far for the Aggies.
Kump and his Utah teammates visit West Virginia Saturday and Lane and his Utah State teammates visit Vanderbilt Saturday.
