SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Blake Hunt and Cade Marlowe homered and the Tacoma Rainiers doubled up the Salt Lake Bees 10-5 Friday in Pacific Coast League at The Ballpark at America First Square. Domingo Gonzalez posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers. Ben Gamel homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Friday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 81-61 and the Bees fell to 62-79. The squads return to action Saturday at 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square for the fifth game of the series.
Pioneer League Playoffs Game 2
OAKLAND, Calif.-Christian Hall homered and the Ogden Raptors doubled up Oakland 2-1 Friday in the second game of the Pioneer League playoffs series at Raimondi Park. Nico Saltaformaggio posted a strikeout in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Daniel Harris IV drove in a run in the loss for the Ballers. The rubber match, winner takes all Game 3 is Saturday at Raimondi Park.
