SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, Utah football earned three Big 12 weekly honors following the Utes’ 43-10 rout of UCLA last Saturday evening.
Offensive Player of the Week: junior quarterback Devon Dampier. Dampier completed 21 of 25 passes for 206 yards and two scores. He also ran for 87 yards and a score in the win over the Bruins. He is the first Utes’ signal-caller to lead the team in passing and rushing yards in a game since the 2023 season.
The Utes’ offensive and defensive lines, respectively, also won Big 12 weekly awards against UCLA.
The offensive line enabled the Utes to run for 286 yards on the evening and the Utah offense was 6-6 inside the red zone against the Bruins.
The Utah defensive line was led by redshirt junior defensive end Logan Fano (sack, two tackles for a loss) and redshirt sophomore defensive end John Henry Daly (2 sacks) in the rout of UCLA.
The Utes return to action Saturday at 4:00 pm for their home opener against NCAA FCS Cal Poly at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
