ROUND ROCK, Texas-Carter Kieboom homered and the Salt Lake Bees secured the series win with a 4-2 victory over Round Rock Sunday at Dell Diamond in Pacific Coast League play. Brett Kerry recorded three strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. José Quijada netted a strikeout in one inning of work to secure the save for Salt Lake in victory. Tucker Mitchell and Billy McKinney each drove in a run in defeat for the Express. Following Sunday’s results, the Bees improved to 57-74 and the Express slumped to 65-65. The Bees return home for a six-game series against the El Paso Chihuahuas Tuesday. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Trevor Rogers and Thomas McCaffrey homered and the Idaho Falls Chukars edged Ogden 8-7 at Melaleuca Field Sunday to earn the series win in Pioneer League play. Connor Bagnieski homered in the loss for the Raptors. Following Sunday’s results, the Chukars improved to 51-38 and the Raptors fell to 48-41. The Raptors return to Lindquist Field Tuesday for a six-game series against the Boise Hawks. This will conclude the regular season. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
