ROUND ROCK, Texas-Billy McKinney homered and the Round Rock Express downed Salt Lake 7-3 Thursday in Pacific Coast League play at Dell Diamond. Trey Supak netted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Express. Scott Kingery homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Thursday’s results, the Express improved to 64-63 and the Bees fell to 55-73. The squads return to action Friday at 6:05 pm for the fourth game in the series.
Pioneer League
BILLINGS, Mont.-Tyler Shelnut homered and the Billings Mustangs doubled up Ogden 2-1 in Pioneer League play Thursday at Dehler Park. Ritter Steinmann netted three strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Billings as the Mustangs secured the sweep. Damian Stone drove in a run in defeat for the Raptors. Following Thursday’s results, the Mustangs improved to 40-47 and the Raptors fell to 47-39. The Raptors return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Idaho Falls to start a three-game series against the Chukars through the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
