SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Tommy Troy homered and the Reno Aces got past Salt Lake 10-8 Sunday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square. Brandyn Garcia recorded two strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Reno. Taylor Rashi was accredited with the save for the Aces by pitching one inning. Scott Kingery’s grand slam led the Bees in the loss. Following Sunday’s results, Reno improved to 52-74 while the Bees fell to 53-72. Salt Lake returns to action Tuesday at Round Rock for a six-game series against the Express. Opening pitch is slated for 6:05 pm.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Kellum Clark and Garrett Kueber homered and the Rocky Mountain Vibes doubled up Ogden 10-5 at Lindquist Field Sunday in Pioneer League play. Nick Powers netted a strikeout in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Vibes. Trey Morrill record a strikeout in 1.1 innings of work to secure the save for Rocky Mountain in victory. Elliott Good homered in defeat for the Raptors. Following Sunday’s results, the Vibes improved to 39-44 and the Raptors fell to 47-36. Ogden returns to action Tuesday at Billings to open a six-game series against the Mustangs. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
