SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Denzer Guzman homered and the Salt Lake Bees secured a series win over Reno with a 6-4 win over the Aces Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square. Sammy Peralta posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Cristian Pache drove in two runs in the loss for Reno. Entering Sunday’s series finale, the Bees are currently 53-71 while Reno slumped to 51-74. Opening pitch is slated for 12:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Cole Jordan homered twice and the Ogden Raptors edged Rocky Mountain 11-10 Saturday at Lindquist FIeld in Pioneer League play. Shane Gustafson netted a strikeout in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Kellum Clark and Gary Lora Gonzalez each homered in defeat for the Vibes. Following Saturday’s results, the Raptors improved to 46-36 and the Vibes fell to 39-43. Ogden can secure a series win with a victory Sunday to concludes the series. Opening pitch is slated for Sunday at 1:00 pm at Lindquist Field.
