SUGAR LAND, Texas-Logan Davidson, Edwin Díaz and Brice Matthews each homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys secured the series win with a 4-2 win over the Salt Lake Bees Sunday at Constellation Field in Pacific Coast League play. Luis Contreras recorded a strikeout in 0.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys. Matthew Lugo homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Sunday’s results, the Space Cowboys improved to 57-60 and the Bees fell to 49-70. The Bees return home for a six-game series against the Reno Aces. Tuesday’s opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -Evan Scavotto, Mason Minzey and Christian Castenada each homered and the Grand Junction Jackalopes downed Ogden 10-8 Sunday at Suplizio Field to end the series on a high note in Pioneer League play. Parker Wakeman’s three strikeouts in three innings of work earned the win on the mound for the Jackalopes. Christopher Sargent Jr. homered twice and Connor Bagnieski also went yard in the loss for the Raptors. Following Sunday’s results, the Raptors, who secured the series win Saturday, fell to 44-33 and the Jackalopes improved to 33-45. Ogden returns to action Tuesday to host the Rocky Mountain Vibes for a six-game series at Lindquist Field. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
