SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Niko Kavadas, Scott Kingery, Nelson Rada and Denzer Guzman homered and the Salt Lake Bees got past Las Vegas 15-12 Thursday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square. José Quijada netted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake. Nick Martini belted a grand slam in the loss for the Aviators. Following Thursday’s results, the Bees improved to 45-65 and the Aviators fell to 64-47. The squads return to action Friday at 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Carmine Lane drove in five runs and the Ogden Raptors waxed Colorado Springs 15-10 in Pioneer League play Thursday at Lindquist Field. Kyler Stancato’s two strikeouts in one inning of work earned him the win on the mound for Ogden. Justin Johnson and T.J. McKenzie homered in the loss for the Sky Sox. Following Thursday’s results, Ogden improved to 37-30-1 and Colorado Springs fell to 17-50-1. The squads return to action Friday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
