OKLAHOMA CITY-Max Muncy, Chuckie Robinson and CJ Alexander homered and the Oklahoma City Comets downed Salt Lake 12-10 Sunday to conclude this series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Ronan Kopp posted three strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Comets. Chad Stevens homered in defeat for the Bees. Following Sunday’s results, the Comets improved to 65-43 and the Bees fell to 43-64. Salt Lake returns to action Tuesday at 7:05 pm to host a six-game series against the Las Vegas Aviators at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Connor Bagnieski and Christopher Sargent Jr. each homered twice and Cole Jordan also went yard as the Ogden Raptors overpowered Colorado Springs 23-9 at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play Sunday. Nico Saltaformaggio netted a strikeout in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. T.J. McKenzie homered in defeat for the Sky Sox. Following Sunday’s results, the Raptors, who secured the series win, improved to 35-30 and the Sky Sox stumbled to 17-48. The squads return to action Tuesday at Lindquist Field for another six-game series although the Raptors will serve as the de facto home team for this series. Opening pitch is slated for 6:30 pm.
