OKLAHOMA CITY-Justin Dean stole home in the bottom of the 10th Inning and the Oklahoma City Comets won their first game of the series against Salt Lake with a 6-5 win over the Bees Thursday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play. Nick Senzel added a home run in victory for the Comets. Jack Little pitched one inning to earn the win on the mound for the Comets. Niko Kavadas, Brandon Drury, Tucker Flint and Zach Humphreys each drove in a run in the loss for the Bees. Following Thursday’s results, the Comets improved to 64-41 and the Bees fell to 41-63. The squads return to action Friday at 6:05 pm at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark for the fourth game in the series.
Pioneer League
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Kai Moody and Edwin Martinez Pagani drove in two runs apiece and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox upset the Ogden Raptors 8-6 Thursday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Matthew Lauria netted two strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Sky Sox. Damian Stone and Connor Bagnieski homered in the loss for the Raptors. The Sky Sox improved to 16-46 on the season while the Raptors fell to 33-29. The squads return to action Friday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the fourth game in the series.
