CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah redshirt senior linebacker Lando Brown was named to the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List.
This award is annually bestowed upon the national defensive player of the year in NCAA Division I FCS college football.
Brown, a native of Gardena, Calif., posted four sacks, 10 tackles for a loss and 10 quarterback hits last season for the Thunderbirds.
Brown and his SUU teammates start the season August 30 by hosting Idaho State at Eccles Coliseum.
