Pacific Coast League

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Victor Labrada belted a grand slam and Jack López also homered as the Tacoma Rainiers pounded Salt Lake 15-2 Sunday, concluding this series at The Ballpark at America First Square. Jhonathan Díaz netted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers. Matthew Lugo homered in defeat for the Bees. Following Sunday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 45-42 and the Bees slumped to 33-53. The Bees return to action Tuesday at 7:05 pm as they host the Sacramento River Cats for a six-game series at The Ballpark at America First Square next week. 

Pioneer League

GREAT FALLS, Mont.-Tommy Specht, Anthony Swenda, AJ Fritz, Roman Kuntz and Jeff Nicol homered and the Great Falls Voyagers edged Ogden 9-8 Sunday at Centene Stadium. Zach Voelker netted two strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Great Falls. Meanwhile, Wyatt Cameron was accredited with the save for the Voyagers, recording two strikeouts in one inning of work. Dylan Wilkinson and Cole Jordan drove in three runs apiece in the loss for the Raptors. Following Sunday’s results, the Raptors fell to 23-18 while the Voyagers, who won this series, improved to 9-33 on the season. The Raptors return home Tuesday to start a six-game homestand against the Missoula PaddleHeads. Opening pitch is slated for 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
