RENO, Nev.-Kyren Paris homered and the Salt Lake Bees achieved a series split against Reno with an 8-4 win over the Aces Sunday at Greater Nevada Field to concludes this Pacific Coast League series. Sammy Peralta netted two strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Tristin English drove in two runs in the loss for the Aces. Following Sunday’s results, the Bees improved to 32-48 and the Aces fell to 40-41. The Bees return to action Tuesday at Tacoma. Opening pitch is at 8:05 pm MDT.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Christian Hall, Omar Veloz and Brett Roberts each homered and the Northern Colorado Owlz downed Ogden 10-4 Sunday at Lindquist Field, preventing the Raptors from achieving the series sweep. Johan Castillo netted three strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Owlz. Jorge Barrosa drove in a run in defeat for the Raptors. Following Sunday’s results, Northern Colorado improved to 6-29 and Ogden fell to 20-16. The Raptors return to action for a three-game series Tuesday at Idaho Falls. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.
