RENO, Nev.-Tucker Flint, Chad Stevens and Niko Kavadas all homered and the Salt Lake Bees routed Reno 14-3 Thursday at Greater Nevada Field in Pacific Coast League play. Victor Mederos netted eight strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Aces. Jorge Barrosa, Nicky Lopez and Tristin English drove in a run apiece in the loss for Reno. Following Thursday’s results, the Bees improved to 30-47 while the Aces fell to 39-39. The fourth game in the series is slated for Friday at 7:35 pm MDT at Greater Nevada Field.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Christopher Sargent Jr. homered twice and True Fontenot and Evan Blum also went yard as the Ogden Raptors routed Northern Colorado 17-4 Thursday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. Rolando Gutierrez Rosario netted five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. T.J. McKenzie and Quintt Landis each homered in the loss for the Owlz. Following Thursday’s results, the Raptors, winners of seven of their last nine, improved to 18-15 and Northern Colorado slumped to 5-27. The squads return to action Friday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play.
