RENO, Nev.-Andy Weber and A.J. Vukovich drove in two runs and the Reno Aces downed Salt Lake 6-2 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at Greater Nevada Field. Yilber Díaz posted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for Reno. Carter Kieboom homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Wednesday’s results, the Aces improved to 39-38 and the Bees fell t0 29-47. The squads return to action Thursday at 7:05 pm at Greater Nevada Field for the third game of the series.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Connor Bagnieski homered four times and Christopher Sargent Jr. also went yard as the Ogden Raptors smacked Northern Colorado 14-2 Wednesday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. Shane Gustafson posted four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. T.J. McKenzie drove in a run in the loss for the Owlz. The Raptors, winners of six of their last eight, improved to 17-5 and the Owlz fell to 5-26. The squads return to action Thursday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the third game in the series.
