SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-J.D. Davis drove in a pair of runs and the Salt Lake Bees blanked Sacramento 6-0 Friday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square. Victor Mederos netted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees, who have won two of their last three and tied the series 2-2. Following Friday’s results, the Bees improved to 28-44 and the River Cats fell to 35-38. The Bees seek the series lead Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Jacob Shanks and Anthony Mata homered and the Idaho Falls Chukars downed Ogden 10-6 Friday in Pioneer League play at Melalecua Field. Gary Grosjean posted six strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Chukars. Cole Jordan and Christopher Sargent Jr. homered in the loss for the Raptors. Following Friday’s results, the Chukars improved to 18-9 and the Raptors fell to 14-14. The series resumes Saturday at 7:05 pm at Melaleuca Field.
