SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Bryce Eldridge, Marco Luciano, Drew Cavanaugh and Grant McCray homered and the Sacramento River Cats downed Salt Lake 12-10 in Pacific Coast League play Tuesday at The Ballpark at America First Square. Carson Whisenhunt netted seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento. J.D. Davis homered in defeat for the Bees. Following Tuesday’s results, the River Cats improved to 34-36 and the Bees, losers of 16 of their last 19, fell to 26-43. The squads return to action Wednesday at 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square for the second game in the series.
Pioneer League
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-True Fontenot drove in three runs and the Ogden Raptors routed Idaho Falls 10-2 Tuesday in Pioneer League play at Melaleuca Field. Chase Chatman netted six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Simon Baumgardt and Tyler Wyatt drove in a run in the loss for the Chukars. Following Tuesday’s results, the Raptors improved to 12-13 and the Chukars fell to 17-7. The squads return to action Wednesday at 7:05 pm at Melaleuca Field.
