LAS VEGAS-Darell Hernaiz homered and the Las Vegas Aviators bested Salt Lake 5-3 Friday at Las Vegas Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play. Jack Cushing netted four strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Aviators. J.D. Davis and Tucker Flint homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Friday’s results, the Aviators, who clinched the series win, improved to 42-24 while the Bees, losers of 14 of their last 17, fell to 26-40. The squads meet again Saturday at 8:05 pm MDT at Las Vegas Ballpark for the fifth game in the series.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Cam Bufford and Daniel Harris IV homered and the Oakland Ballers bested Ogden 8-6 Friday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. Zach St. Pierre netted a strikeout in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Ballers. Elliott Good and Christopher Sargent Jr. drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Raptors. The Ballers improved to 14-8 on the season while the Raptors fell to 11-11. The squads return to action Saturday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the second game in the series.
