Warnings About Toxic Algae Issued At Zion National Park

(Springdale, UT) — Zion National Park is warning visitors about possible toxic algae blooms. The North Fork of the Virgin River, North Creek and La Verkin Creek are being monitored for cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins. The warning affects popular areas like The Narrows, Pine Creek, Deep Creek and Emerald Pools. Visitors should not swim or put their heads in the water in areas affected by the warning.
