Pacific Coast League

TACOMA, Wash.-Harry Ford homered and the Tacoma Rainiers edged Salt Lake 8-7 Thursday at Cheney Stadium in Pacific Coast League play. Zach Pop recorded two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers. Korey Holland and Tucker Flint homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Thursday’s results, the Rainiers, who secured at least a series split against Salt Lake, improved to 24-30 and the Bees fell to 23-30, having dropped their fourth straight game. The squads return to action Friday at 8:05 pm MDT at Cheney Stadium for the fourth game in the series.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Carmine Lane homered twice and the Ogden Raptors overpowered Yuba-Sutter 13-8 in Pioneer League play Thursday at Lindquist Field. Eli Elliott netted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. River Orsak drove in three runs in the loss for the High Wheelers. Following Thursday’s results, the Raptors improved to 4-5 and the High Wheelers fell to 7-2. The squads return to action Friday at Lindquist Field for the fourth game in the series. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
