Commission To Begin Search For New Utah State President

(Logan, UT) — The Utah Board of Higher Education is starting the search for a new president at Utah State University. A nine-person committee made up of board members, trustees, faculty and students was announced yesterday. Former Utah State President Elizabeth Cantwell stepped down in February to take a new position at Washington State University. Alan Smith has served as interim president, but he plans to return to his role as dean of the College of Education and Human Services once a new president is selected.
