SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Christian Moore homered and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Omaha 9-5 Thursday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play.
Endrys Briceno posted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Tyler Tolbert, Jac Caglianone and Cam Devanney homered in the loss for the Storm Chasers.
The streaking Bees have now won six of their past seven games and have secured at least a split in this series in improving to 21-26 on the season while Omaha fell to 19-27.
Game four in this series is slated for 6:35 pm Friday at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
OAKLAND, Calif.-Christopher Sargent Jr. homered twice and the Ogden Raptors overpowered Oakland 13-9 Thursday at Raimondi Park in Pioneer League play. Matthew Colucci netted three strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Christian Almanza homered in defeat for the Ballers. Ogden improved to 2-1 on the season in victory while the Ballers fell to 1-2. The squads return to action Friday at 7:35 pm at Raimondi Park.
