5A State Championship @ Zions Bank Stadium
HERRIMAN, Utah-Sophia Mondschein scored four goals and the No. 1 Park City Miners overpowered No. 3 Olympus 16-6 in the 5A state girls lacrosse championship game Thursday at Zions Bank Stadium. Lizzie Anne’s three goals led the Titans in the loss. This was Park City’s third all-time state title in girls lacrosse. The Miners have state titles in girls lacrosse in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
Softball
5A State Finals Series @ BYU
PROVO, Utah-Arianna Fjeldsted drove in three runs and the No. 3 West Jordan Jaguars overpowered No. 1 Salem Hills 13-7 Thursday in the first game of the 5A state finals series at Miller Park on the campus of Brigham Young University. Rita Tavita netted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Jaguars. Shay Loveridge drove in three runs in the loss for the Skyhawks. Game 2 in the championship series is Friday at 1:30 pm at Miller Park. Should the Skyhawks win that game, a Game 3 would occur Friday at 7:00 pm for the de facto 5A state championship at Miller Park.
Boys Soccer
5A State Championship @ America First Field
SANDY, Utah-Jack McAllister scored the winning goal and Tanner Kunz and Josh Glazier also found the net as the No. 2 Alta Hawks outlasted No. 4 Wasatch 3-2 Thursday in the 5A boys soccer state championship game at America First Field. Cole Simpson and Jayden Cosper each scored in the loss for the Wasps. This was Alta’s 10th all-time state title in boys soccer. The Hawks have won state championships in boys soccer in 1990, 1992, 1997, 2006, 2011, 2015, 2017-2018, 2022 and 2025.
