SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Zack Short and Shay Whitcomb homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys outlasted Salt Lake 7-6 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark At America First Square.
Logan VanWey secured the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys, maintaining the lead in relief while pitching one inning.
Carter Kieboom homered in defeat for the Bees.
Following Wednesday’s results, the Space Cowboys evened up the series while improving to 17-18. Meanwhile, the Bees fell to 15-19.
The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm for the third game in the series at The Ballpark at American First Square.
