TORONTO-Tuesday, the Canadian Football League conducted its common and global drafts ahead of the 2025 season which kicks off May 19. Utah collegians drafted in the CFL draft are as follows:
Common Draft
1st Round
Calgary Stampeders
With the first overall selection, the Calgary Stampeders selected Utah receiver Damien Alford. Alford is a native of Montréal, Québec, Canada and transferred to the Utes from Syracuse. He did not post any stats in four games for the Utes in 2024. While playing for the Orange, the 6-6 215-pound Alford posted 67 receptions for 1,291 yards and 7 touchdowns from 2020-2023.
2nd Round
Hamilton Tiger-Cats
With the No. 9 overall selection to start the second round, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected BYU defensive lineman Isaiah Bagnah. Bagnah posted a sack and two tackles for a loss last season for the Cougars. Bagnah is a native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Weber State defensive end Kemari Munier-Bailey, a native of Birmingham, England.
