Bees Obtain First Win of Series Against Oklahoma City Friday

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Chad Stevens homered and the Salt Lake Bees snapped a 5-game losing streak with a 9-4 win over the Oklahoma City Comets Friday at The Ballpark At America First Square.

Shaun Anderson posted three strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Alex Freeland drove in two runs in the loss for the Comets.

Following Friday’s results, the Bees, who still have a chance at a series split with wins Saturday and Sunday, improved to 11-14 while the Comets slumped to 17-8.

Saturday’s fifth game of the series is slated for a 1:05 pm opening pitch at The Ballpark At America First Square.
