BYU Men’s Basketball Adds Robert Wright

PROVO, Utah-Monday, BYU men’s basketball signed transfer Robert Wright III from Baylor per a statement from head coach Kevin Young.

Last season, Wright posted 11.5 points and 4.2 assists per game for the Bears.

The native of Wilmington, Del. posted 148 net assists last season for Baylor, the fifth-most by any freshman in NCAA Division I men’s basketball.

Starring at Montverde Academy of Montverde, Fla., Wright played with future NCAA Division I stars Cooper Flagg and Derik Queen.

Wright is also the former Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year, averaging 23.1 points, 4.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game during his junior season at Neumann and Goretti High School of Philadelphia.
