Former Utah Congresswoman Mia Love Passes Away

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Former U.S. Congresswoman Mia Love has passed away after battling brain cancer. Her family announced yesterday that she died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was the first Black Republican woman in Congress and Utah’s first Black lawmaker, serving from 2015 to 2019. Details about memorial services are pending. Love was 49.
