ST. GEORGE, Utah-Austin Brown homered and the Wasatch Wasps drilled Richfield 15-5 Friday at the Desert Hills Open. Blake Sweat and Grant Mahoney drove in three runs apiece in victory for the Wasps. Micah Dahl, Braxton Faller and Crew Baxter also drove in an additional run in the win for Wasatch. Bridger Shaw posted seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Malik Fautin drove in two runs in the loss for the Wildcats. Hayden Reed added another RBI in the loss for Richfield.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Haigen Reed homered and the Desert Hills Thunder overpowered Wasatch 12-10 at the Desert Hills Open Friday. Stoakli Tate, Briggs Fillmore and Roah Wall drove in two runs apiece in victory for the Thunder. Hoyt Atkin netted two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Desert Hills. Bridger Shaw posted three RBI and Jack Salmon and Grant Mahoney drove in two more runs each in the loss for the Wasps. Blake Sweat, Micah Dahl and Braxton Faller drove in an additional run apiece in defeat for Wasatch.
