5A State Semifinals @ Huntsman Center
SALT LAKE CITY-Soren Ries posted 18 points and 10 rebounds and the No. 4 Highland Rams routed No. 9 Brighton 65-46 Wednesday at the Huntsman Center in the 5A state semifinals. Josh Mawhinney’s 16 points and 6 rebounds led the Bengals in defeat. Highland next plays No. 2 Olympus for the 5A state championship Friday at 7:30 pm.
SALT LAKE CITY-Gavin Lowe recorded 22 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds and the No. 2 Olympus Titans waxed No. 3 Timpview 76-58 in the 5A state semifinals at the Huntsman Center Wednesday. Callen Tollestrup led the Thunderbirds in the loss with 18 points.

SALT LAKE CITY-Taylor Harvey’s 23 points and 8 rebounds led the way and the No. 3 Bountiful RedHawks smacked No. 2 Wasatch 62-43 Wednesday in the 5A state semifinals at the Huntsman Center. Filifaiesea Liava’a’s 9 points led the Wasps in the loss. Bountiful next faces No. 1 West Friday at 5:00 pm in the 5A state championship at the Huntsman Center.
SALT LAKE CITY-Kylee Falatea recorded 24 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds and the No. 1 West Panthers edged No. 4 Salem Hills 52-51 in the 5A state semifinals Wednesday at the Huntsman Center. Chenielle Nye’s 19 points and 21 rebounds led the Skyhawks in defeat.
