Bill To Protect Campus Religious Clubs Advances

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill aimed at protecting clubs on public university campuses is advancing through the State House. The measure sponsored by Republican Representative Karianne Lisonbee would require that belief-based groups be treated the same as other campus organizations. That would include religious, political and ideological clubs. The proposal passed through a House Committee this week.
