SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday evening, Utah football head coach Kyle Whittingham added a pair of new assistant coaches: receivers coach Micah Simon and running backs coach Mark Atuaia.
Simon joins new Utes offensive coordinator Jason Beck, whom he coached under this past season at New Mexico, and Atuaia spent the last three seasons as the associate head coach at Washington State.
Simon starred as a receiver at BYU (2015-2019), recording 89 receptions for 1,109 yards and five scores.
Atuaia played at BYU in 1991 and 1992-1993, while also serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Arizona Tucson Mission.
