Utah Football’s Spencer Fano Named As Finalist For Polynesian Football Player of the Year

Wednesday, Utah football sophomore offensive lineman Spencer Fano was named as a finalist for the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Player of the Year.

The Timpview High School star out of Spanish Fork, Utah made the Big 12 all-first team as well as the Pro Football Focus All-American team earlier this week.

Other finalists for this award include

Arizona State senior offensive lineman Leif Fautanu

Tennessee freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava (65.2 completion percentage, 2,512 yards, 19 TD’s/5 INT’s)

Arizona junior receiver Tetairoa McMillan (84 rec, 1,319 yards, 8 TD’s)

Ohio State senior defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau (1.5 sacks, forced fumble)

Oregon sophomore outside linebacker Matayo Uiagalelei (10.5 sacks, 12.5 tackles for a loss, 2 forced fumbles)

The winner of this award will be announced December 19.

Fano was also named as a CBS Sports All-American Wednesday as was BYU redshirt junior kick returner Keelan Marion.
