Tuesday, BYU sophomore linebacker Isaiah Glasker and sophomore tailback LJ Martin received national honors for their contributions to the No. 13 Cougars rout of Arizona 41-19 last Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Glasker was named the Chuck Bednarik National Player of the Week by recording a pick six, a pass breakup and a forced fumble against the Wildcats. The former Bingham High School star out of South Jordan, Utah also posted a pair of quarterback hurries and two tackles for a loss.
Martin, a former Canutillo (Texas) High School star out of El Paso, Texas, posted a receiving and rushing score against Arizona, netting 95 all-purpose yards.
Glasker, Martin, and their BYU teammates return to action Friday by hosting the Oklahoma State Cowboys at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
