The Passat driver and a three-year-old girl who was a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other children were airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries. The truck driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. U.S. 40 was closed for several hours during the clean-up and investigation.
