IOC President Addresses Concerns Over Salt Lake City’s 2034 Winter Games

(Undated) — International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach visited Utah to alleviate concerns about the 2034 Winter Olympics following a new termination clause related to anti-doping compliance. He emphasized the need for cooperation between the World Anti-Doping Agency, and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. Utah officials believe the contract adjustments strengthen anti-doping efforts without jeopardizing the Games. Salt Lake City is currently the only candidate host city for the 2034 Winter Games.
