(Grand County, UT) — The Prairie Fire that is north of I-70 is getting more fuel from local terrain. A recent estimate is that the fire that was sparked by lightning Monday has burned about two thousand acres near the Utah-Colorado border. Firefighters say winds Monday pushed the blaze into sagebrush and grass in Grand County that accelerated the fire. Two other fires continue to burn in the state, including the Rudd Creek Fire which is now 90 contained and the Elizabeth Ridge Fire in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest which is only 10 percent contained.
