SALT LAKE CITY-Shane Matheny drove in three runs and the Salt Lake Bees pounded Oklahoma City 11-1 Tuesday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.
Davis Daniel posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Oklahoma City Baseball Club.
Alex Freeland drove in a run in the loss for Oklahoma City.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Bees improved to 66-78 while Oklahoma City fell to 75-70.
The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm for the second game in the series from Smith’s Ballpark.
