SALT LAKE CITY-Blaine Crim, Trevor Hauver, Jax Biggers and Matt Whatley each drove in a run and the Round Rock Express smacked Salt Lake 6-2 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Peter Solomon recorded three strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Express.
Chad Wallach drove in a run in defeat for the Bees.
Following Saturday’s results, the Express improved to 62-61 while the Bees slumped to 59-65.
The squads return to action Sunday at 1:05 pm in the series finale at Smith’s Ballpark as the Express seeks to get the series win while Salt Lake hopes for a split.
